As a registered Nutritional Therapist and Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, my approach is holistic and rooted in scientific study and data.
Functional Medicine seeks to find and address the root causes of disease and views the body as a whole, as opposed to a collection of isolated systems.
It combines traditional Western medical practices, working in conjunction with your GP, alongside a focus on prevention through nutrition, lifestyle and exercise.
Functional Medicine also makes use of the latest laboratory testing and other diagnostic techniques and prescribed combinations of botanical medicines, supplements, therapeutic meal plans, detoxification programs, and stress-management techniques
Functional Medicine practitioners spend time with their patients, listening to their histories and looking at the interactions among genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that can influence long-term health and complex, chronic disease.
In this way, Functional Medicine supports the unique expression of health and vitality for each individual.
